A brand for an award winning animation studio
Interference Pattern is an Oscar-winning animation studio based in Edinburgh. Led by Creative Director Tom Bryant, the studio had branched into new growth areas, including VR, AR and interactive media, and needed a new brand to better reflect its ever-expanding offer.
The idea:
‘Logic and Magic’
What Interference Pattern create appears magical to the uninitiated, but just as important to their offer is their logical side that makes their process robust, efficient and a dream to work with.
We created an identity that had movement at its heart. A system of ‘interference blocks’ – kinetic devices that tell the story of the magic they do – along with a systematic tone of voice that speaks about the logic of how their work is executed.
The new brand now binds their name, purpose and creative output, and provides a kit of parts that allows their story to continue into the future.
